In an effort to promote sports and physical activity among the youth of Liromoba, Arunachal Pradesh, MLA Nyamar Karbak took a significant step by inaugurating a modern Futsal (Football Ground) within the region. This initiative aims to foster a sports-oriented culture and provide a platform for the youth to engage in healthy physical activities.
The inauguration ceremony of the Futsal Ground was not only about the physical infrastructure but also highlighted the importance of sports at the grassroots level. MLA Nyamar Karbak emphasized this commitment by distributing official sports uniforms to all Gaon Buras, symbolizing the encouragement of sports from the very grassroots of the community.

What is Futsal?
Futsal is a variant of soccer played on a smaller, confined field, usually indoors. It is known for its fast-paced, skill-centric gameplay that emphasizes ball control, quick thinking, and technical abilities. The sport fosters teamwork, enhances agility, and cultivates a passion for soccer among the youth.
Futsal teams comprise five players each, including a goalkeeper. The objective is to score goals by placing the ball into the opposing team’s net. The game uses a smaller, heavier ball, enhancing control and skill development.
Futsal serves as a platform for developing soccer skills, allowing players to improve dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques in a high-intensity environment. Governed by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), Futsal’s popularity is rapidly growing worldwide.
What is Futsal Ground?
A Futsal ground, also called a court or pitch, is the playing area for Futsal matches. It’s smaller than a traditional soccer field, typically 25-42 meters (82-138 feet) in length and 16-25 meters (52-82 feet) in width. The compact size encourages more ball involvement and quicker decision-making, making Futsal an exciting and dynamic game.
